This PowerPak™ will enable you to set up and deploy a cutting edge DHTML web site in just a few short hours. Upon completion, you will have learned much about the magic and power of DHTML... and how Dreamweaver and Fireworks can work together to make it all happen!

The User Guide is divided into 3 sections:

  1. Fast Track Guide and Customization Tips
    Get up and running quickly and discover Tips and tricks you can use to customize the look and feel of this PowerPak™
  2. Advanced Techniques Site Guide
    The nuts and bolts of how the site was made. The mechanics of employing the special scripts and extensions.
  3. Advanced Techniques Image Guide
    How to work with the supplied Fireworks images.

Note:

It's advised that you open this page in your browser and thoroughly read each section. Use the hyperlinks, above, to navigate. Upon completing a section, print it out and keep it as a desktop reference to use as you work on your PowerPak™ site.

 

 

This PowerPak™ utilizes DHTML scripts and behaviors. Viewing the site requires:

  1. Internet Explorer 4 (or higher)
  2. Netscape Navigator 4

Netscape Note:
At the time of publishing, Netscape has released an incomplete preview edition of its next generation browser: Navigator 6. The Navigator 6 preview is not compatible with Netscape 4. We, along with Macromedia® and other web authoring tool publishers and script writers, will review the final release of Netscape's new browser and determine what, if any, modifications need to be made to DHTML javascripts to make them function in that new browser. The next update of Internet Explorer will require no modifications.
